TCES Participates in Read Across America
Total Books Read  --  14,009 

TCES students participated in Read Across America February 25 – March 5^th.  Our students did a tremendous, stupendous, and awesome job reading.  Each class read during the week and for every five books read a state was colored in.  The students really got into reading.  Individual classrooms were placed in a drawing for participating in Read Across America and received a book.  Each day students answered trivia questions about Dr. Seuss and his books.  Names were drawn and prized were awarded. 

The top three classes received a book for their reading efforts.  Mrs. Yates’ class was the third place winner reading 1,000 books.  Mrs. Garrison’s class was the second place winner reading 1,250 books.  And the overall winner reading 1,750 books was Mrs. Scalos’ class.
