New Cardinal CHOICE Testing Option

Layered Strategies

As part of our Keeping Students in School Plan and in order to provide an opportunity for more students to safely remain in school, Taylor County School District will be making adjustments to our Covid layering strategies and quarantine procedures by offering an optional mitigation strategy called Cardinal CHOICE Testing Option beginning Wednesday, September 29th. This extra layer of mitigation serves as an additional parent-choice option to keep their child learning in-person at school.

If you are notified by the school that your child may be required to quarantine, this ???????????? would allow your child to remain with in-person learning. Your student can participate in Cardinal CHOICE as long as they do not have Covid symptoms and were exposed during school. They will test each morning before school. If they receive negative results daily, they may remain at school until the would-be quarantine timeline expires. The testing option is an additional layering strategy to keep students in school.
