As National FFA Week comes to an end, we are excited to announce our initial plans for the future of our FFA program: The Agriculture Learning Center!
Our agriculture program is a point of pride in our district and community. The proposed facility will enable us to promote innovations in agriculture and provide exceptional educational tools for students and community members in our region. Plans for the center include a facility that would house growing livestock and a small animal education program, in addition to supporting our school farm and its partnership with both our food service and culinary departments. Our vision also includes:
-An area to teach livestock education and show and sell livestock
-A boarding kennel area to support and expand the Veterinary Science Program
-Kitchen, food storage, and food processing capabilities to provide food for the Food Service Department and the community
The Agriculture Learning Center will further strengthen the performance of our agriculture and FFA students, as well as provide additional opportunities for our community members and farmers.
If you or your business is interested in supporting or becoming a Corporate Sponsor for the Agriculture Learning Center, please contact Maddie Gumm or Charles Higdon, Jr. at the Board of Education.
