Students participate in Food for America program

Students learn about fruits and vegetables

Members of Taylor County High School FFA, DECA, FCCLA, FBLA and TSA teamed up with Kentucky Farm Bureau to host Food For America again this year.

Food For America is an annual program in which high school students work together to teach local third-grade students about topics pertaining to agriculture, business and food science.

Our intermediate school students learned about raising cattle, pigs, goats, chickens and fish, as well as growing fruits and vegetables, with other activities themed around healthy eating, fitness, economics and more.

Thank you to Kentucky Farm Bureau and the Homeplace on Green River for making this incredible educational opportunity possible!
