HOW DO I APPLY FOR A POSITION WITH TAYLOR COUNTY SCHOOLS?

* Certified Position (requiring a Kentucky Teacher or Administrative certification):
Complete a Taylor County Schools employment application (available online) and submit a copy of your Kentucky teaching certificate (or statement of eligibility), an official college transcript, and three (3) completed reference forms. A state and federal criminal check and a physical will be required (at applicant's expense) upon hire.

* Classified Support Position (clerical, food service, bus driver, instructional assistant, etc.):
Complete a Taylor County Schools employment application (available online) and submit verification of high school/GED completion, and/or an official college transcript along with three (3) completed reference forms. A state and federal criminal check and a physical will be required (at applicant's expense) upon hire.

Paraprofessional Support Position  (coach, assistant coach, etc.):
Complete a Taylor County Schools employment application (available in Central Office or by downloading a paper application online above) and submit verification of high school/GED completion, and/or an official college transcript along with three (3) completed reference forms. A state and federal criminal check and a physical will be required (at applicant's expense) upon hire.


* Substitute Support Staff:
Same as Classified Support Staff above.
Applicants are asked to indicate in which areas they would be willing to substitute.

*Substitute Teacher:
Who can substitute teach in Taylor County Schools?
Applicants with a valid Kentucky teaching certificate or Applicants with a 4 year college degree (any major) and a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA or 3.0 on the last 60 hours. These applicants will be paid as a Rank IV employee with an emergency certificate or
Applicants that have at least a junior standing (64 hours) and who are currently enrolled in the teacher education program with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Proof of enrollment will be required.

All applicants must complete the Taylor County Schools employment application, submit a copy of your Kentucky teaching certificate, an official college transcript, and three (3) completed reference forms. Taylor County Schools requires a physical and a state and federal criminal records check (at applicant's expense) on all substitute teachers. Physicals will be accepted if they have been done within the last 90 days. Crime checks will be accepted from other districts if they have been done within 6 months.
