Duran Elmore named Pitching Coach for TCHS Baseball
We would like to welcome Coach Duran Elmore as the new pitching coach for the TCHS Baseball team.
In addition to this role, he will also be in charge of the new strength and conditioning program for the team. He is a DHS Alumnus and 2010 High School All American with .499 batting average, 39 stolen bases, 54 runs, and 9-2 on the mound with a .99 ERA. He began his collegiate career at Morehead State University, with 69 hits, .389 on base percentage, 23 stolen bases, and 48 runs, and All OVC Newcomers Team in 2012. Moving to Georgetown College, he held a .300 batting average, ranking top 5 in the country, with 47 stolen bases, and .412 on base percentage with a regional average of .380.
In his professional career, he has coached at Bate Middle School for 4 years while assisting with Danville High School’s powerhouse program. In the summer, he coached KMA’s 14U team filled with Kentucky’s best 14U players, whom he has worked with since 12 years old.
His goal is to teach the fundamentals and mechanics to be able to grow as a player and a teammate, both on and off the field. He also has competed at the professional baseball level for two years.
