Mrs. LaQuita Goodin, Director of Student and Family Advocacy and Diversity, is our nominee for the Kentucky Department of Education's 𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧!
Mrs. Goodin is a leader who has made a career out of closing gaps and bringing people together. She is a passionate advocate who helps students and families overcome obstacles to achieve their maximum potential.
During her tenure with our district, we have made active progress toward closing student achievement gaps. We know that student achievement is a team effort, and Mrs. Goodin is someone who can rally teams and support them with the resources they need to do their best work.
As our student and family advocate, she helps others perform to the best of their ability. From meeting with individual students and their families to mentoring young employees to organizing district-wide initiatives that promote unity and understanding, Mrs. Goodin's work touches all facets of our district.
Above all, she has a heart for individuals who feel disconnected. Her years of experience have informed her understanding of the factors that have the greatest impact on student success.
