What an incredible opportunity to host the Campbellsville Taylor County Chamber of Commerce luncheon on Thursday, November 20, 2025, and spotlight the strong partnership between Taylor County Schools and our local business community!
Mr. Robert Braden opened the event with a personal introduction, sharing his background, passion for education, and the outstanding first impressions he has formed of our schools and community. He also outlined his vision for the district, grounded in our four pillars and a commitment to academic excellence and student success.
A highlight of the program was hearing directly from our students regarding their experiences in CK-Cafe and CK-Prep. Thank you to Thayden Epperson, Dalyn Williams, and Christopher Denton for showcasing the incredible learning opportunities happening across our student-based enterprises.
Mr. Braden also emphasized how education and local industry work hand-in-hand to support economic growth. Through our student-based enterprises, students gain real-world experience in entrepreneurship, customer service, finance, marketing, and management. These programs build employability skills that directly connect to workforce needs, and the majority of our students graduate career-ready and/or college-ready!
Our partnerships with local employers continue to grow, with many businesses mentoring, supporting, and even hiring our students. More than 60 students have been hired by companies that sponsor and support our student-based enterprises!
We were especially proud to host the luncheon in The Venue, one more offering to support our community. Since the beginning of the school year, more than 20 events have taken place here, with six more already scheduled for December. The space is available to rent for local businesses, organizations, and individuals. Lastly, THANK YOU to CK-Cafe for catering the meal! Just a reminder, CK-Cafe is open Monday through Thursday (when school is in session) from 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM for lunch, and the bakery is open Monday through Friday from 10:30 AM - 2:00 PM.
