TCHS has launched a new curriculum guide, designed to help students understand the courses required for the variety of pathways offered at TCHS.
On April 5, 2019, Kentucky's new minimum high school graduation requirements became law, 704 KAR 3:305. The changes add "graduation prerequisites" and "graduation qualifiers" to ensure students have basic math and reading skills, as well as experiences that can help them be prepared to enter college or the workforce. This means that these requirements will affect the CURRENT Freshmen (Class of 2023) and classes after.
The TC Guide outlines the requirements necessary for students to be college or career ready prior to graduation, as well as each pathway's course offerings and electives. Not to mention, in addition to course offerings and electives, the TC Guide it completely interactive, meaning it includes links to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics' Occupational Outlook Handbook, where students and parents can explore careers related to a pathway offered at TCHS. Not sure which pathway to take at TCHS? No worries, click the link at the bottom of the last page to take a survey that assesses your interests and at the end of the survey, you will see a list of career clusters that are a good match for you.
