Taylor County School District will be meeting with local health officials and emergency management personnel on Thursday, March 12th to discuss preparations and protocol for the coronavirus.
We will continue to exercise the same precautionary measures we used when suppressing the flu. We have a great maintenance and custodial team who work diligently to keep our school buildings clean and disinfected. They will continue to focus on high contact areas such as doorknobs, desks, etc.
We want to remind all students, parents, and teachers to frequently wash their hands with plenty of soap and water for 20 seconds or more. In the absence of soap and water, please use hand sanitizers that contain at least 60% alcohol.
If coronavirus were to strike our area, we will follow the lead of the Lake Cumberland Health Department and our district healthcare provider, Taylor Regional Hospital.
Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Board of Education at 270-465-5371.
